The Economist Rethinks Design Thinking
At The Economist’s Rethink conference Core 77’s Kevin McCullagh discovers that there’s no consensus on what, exactly, design thinking is. And, at 10 years old, design thinking could use some principle on how it’s applied. McCullagh suggests:
- precision over woolliness (fuzziness)
- quality over quantity
- vision over users
- balance left with right brain thinking (not the other way around)
- knowledge over emotion (what’s your killer fact?)
